October 26, 2017 / Buffalo Theatre Guide

The Buffalo Choral Arts Society

The Buffalo Choral Arts Society, a 110-voice community chorus under the direction of Marcia A. Giambrone; John A. Mitton, accompanist, is proud to present A SALUTE TO OUR ARMED FORCES, a tribute to our active duty military and veterans as we approach Veterans Day.  The repertoire for the Concert will include patriotic songs and music that celebrates the spirit of America.  Selections will include The Star Spangled Banner, God Bless America, The Battle Hymn of the Republic, Bring Him Home from Les Miserables and Homeland by world-famous composer/conductor Dr. Z. Randall Stroope.

Tickets are $15 each; but admission is FREE for veterans and active duty military with military I.D. at the door.

Hosting the Concert will be Orchard Park’s own John Murphy, the play-by-play voice of the Buffalo Bills Radio Network, a position he has held since the retirement of the legendary Van Miller in 2003.  A native of  Lockport, NY, radio and television personality Murphy is best known for his association with the Buffalo Bills, serving as the Bills’ color analyst, alongside Van Miller (1984-1989 and 1994-2004) and for hosting The John Murphy Show, a Bills-themed talk show on WGR in Buffalo now simulcast on the MSG Television Network.

The Concert will be approximately 70 minutes in length and will be performed without an intermission.

Find out why the Buffalo Choral Arts Society, a proud member of Chorus America, was voted Best Vocal Ensemble in Buffalo in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 by ARTVOICE and its readers!

Tickets to A SALUTE TO OUR ARMED FORCES are $15 each and are on sale now.  Order by phone at (716) 775-SONG (7664) or online at http://www.BuffaloChoralArts.org.  .Admission is free for veterans and active duty military with military I.D. at the door.
