MISS BUFFALO SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION TO BE HELD AT SHEA’S 710 THEATRE!

By Buffalo Theatre Guide on January 5, 2018

Tickets are now on sale through Ticketmaster for the Miss Buffalo Scholarship Competition, which will be held on January 28, 2018 at 4:00 PM at Shea’s 710 Main Theatre, Buffalo, NY. The Miss Buffalo Scholarship Organization is proud to welcome sixteen contestants to this year’s Competition. Executive Director Michael Terragnoli said that “The Organization is very pleased with the number of intelligent, ambitious and talented young women who have entered the competition”. President Stephanie Gelber commented that “With the number of outstanding contestants, it will be a challenging task for the Judges to choose the next Miss Buffalo.”

Contestants will compete in four phases of competition, including talent, lifestyle & fitness, interview and evening wear. During the competition, each contestant will discuss her chosen platform, a social or community issue of concern to herself and our society at large. There will also be a spectacular production with musical numbers, song, dance and great emcees.

We will be crowning one talented young woman with the title of Miss Buffalo, as well as awarding titles to first, second and third place runners-up. It is our expectation to award at least $10,000 in scholarship funds in total to our winners for their college or graduate school education.

During her year of service, Miss Buffalo will travel across Western New York, speaking to business leaders and community groups about her platform and encouraging them to become involved in her cause. Miss Buffalo will not only serve as a role model for young women and as an ambassador for the Miss America Organization, but will also urge young women to develop their leadership skills and take an active role in their communities.

Miss Buffalo will be eligible to compete for the title of Miss New York in June of 2018.
