Everybody onstage at Ujima

Tioga Simpson speaks about the unusual writing style and format of the play. Abstract characters exist in thoughts or as ideas but not having physical or concrete existence.

Kyra Jade (lighting Designer) and Nick Quinn (sound designer) created a foreboding atmosphere.

Curtis Lovell (set designer) basically left the performance space bare with accents on each side, allowing for the actors to take command of the stage according to the various parts played. Two park benches in the middle of the stage were  the focal points, leaving more than enough room for the spirited choreography of Yanava Hawkins (choreographer)

Jennifer Simpson’s (Costume designer) costumes allowed for easy movement as did Camille Roosevelt’s (prop designer) add on props.

The play is about the irreversible cessation of all vital biological functions that sustain a living organism …Death,

Pretty heavy stuff huh?

But the comedy lies in trying to get someone to take that trip with you.

Exceptional work an ensemble of the highest quality.

Lisa Ludwig was phenomenal. Curtis Lovell held the audience in the palm of his hands.
